How Avanafil Works?

Initially intended as a treatment for treating high blood pressure and hypertension, Avanafil is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Avanafil relaxes muscles of the blood vessels and increases blood flow to certain areas of the body, namely the genitals, for a prolonged erection and thereby extending the duration of sexual activity.

After taking the Avanafil oral tablet, the drug will have a dissolution effect in the body, and within 30 minutes it will take effect, although in some trials, the effects of the drug started as little as 15 minutes after ingestion. Avanafil can be taken with or without food, although it is recommended to avoid taking it while eating high fatty foods.

Avanafil will not immediately cause an erection; sexual stimulation must occur for the increased blood flow to the genitals to take effect for the duration of action. Do not take more than one dose of of Avanafil in a span of 24 hours. This can lead to a prolonged erection, which can be damaging to the genitals and users may experience intense pain when erections last longer than four hours. Do not consume alcohol, as it can impede the effects of the drug.

Please be aware of the mechanism of action before taking this drug. For more information, please contact your health care provider or physician.
